Orchid flora-tongue language

ORCHID WATCH:
The Buddelia R Blooming sisters taught me how to communicate in the orchid  flora-tongue language. You don't really "speak" in flora tongue, but use a lot of body motions and gestures. No adjectives in flora tongue..strictly the use of verbs and nouns. Adjectives, if any are indicated by facing hands (leaves) toward the sun, dipping the head toward the east, or twisting to face westward. Human voice is painfully loud to the orchids...they prefer that if we want to communicate, we should listen and let them do most of the talking. This method is quite okay for me...flora tongue is complicated to say the least.

And,  yes, the Blooming sisters shop at Bloomingdale's!!

ORCHID CHEER

ORCHID WATCH:
Apparently, I have a bunch of orchid sisters that like to "tip the bottle"...espcially at Christmas time. I had left an open bottle of Asti Spumante on the kitchen counter by the Blooming sisters. I woke up in the middle of the night to what amounted to a party going on in the kitchen.  The ladies had helped themselves to the Asti Spumante.  They were swaying back and forth, singing along with old Christmas songs playing on the radio.  What a mess! I threw out the empty bottle, and reminded the girls it was WAY too late to be partying...time for bed. They complied. I turned out the lights, thinking about the mess I had to clean up in the morning, and
Where do I get Orchid aspirin for their headaches in the morning?

Christmas is  coming.
I hear the Buddelia sisters whispering about getting gifts for one another.

This should be interesting.......

Moonglow i-iv

ORCHID CHRONICLES:

Moonglow i-iv arrived today with little pomp and circumstance. These ladies are older, wiser, retired flora teachers that frankly, still have a need to teach, but do not have the will for the classroom. These ladies are the keepers of authority, history, manners, and sympathy for those younger. Tea time, story telling, group behavior management and encouraging others to do their best are still their strong suits. They are tremendous listeners..

JERSEY GIRLS

Orchid Chronicles:
The Jersey Girls are named after the reality-tv series. These brightly colored, flamboyant ladies love to show off their curves with tight-fitting outfits and bright red lip stick. These ladies know what they want, and want what they know. They are opinionated to the point of being annoying.  They require more wining and dining than other orchids because of their high-priced lifestyle, but they are affectionate, intelligent and can charm the socks off of people. Just make sure when meeting with these ladies to bring your pocketbook.

Jersey Girls power shop

ORCHID CHRONICLES:

The Jersey Girls parent's visited them this weekend and took them on yet another shopping spree. They had to try on all of their new clothes and model them to where all the other girls (some on very tight budgets).could of course see them. The Jersey Girls said to one another, "Did you see the Buddelia Blooming sisters....I mean the Bloomingdale sisters...They were green with envy!"

Thoughts about the Jersey Girls:  These ladies need some sensitivity training...and ego de-tuning...shopping spree windfall not to be shown off . Idea: have Jersey Girls buy clothes for others?

Scarlet O'Hara arrives at the Center

ORCHID CHRONICLES:
Announcing the arrival of Miss Scarlet O'Hara to the Orchid collection...a charming southern orchid from the south...She has been welcomed warmly into the orchid sisterhood by the other blooming ladies. This one is a real charmer.....:) These ladies are mischievous and hide behind their southern charm. They are floral bluebloods, so aristocratic in nature and tend to instigate quarrels.

Decisions to make

Spring 2012 ORCHID CHRONICLES:

The word is getting out that my kitchen window is a great place for "misplaced", neglected, orphaned, rejected, abused, or psychologically unbalanced orchids. I don't mind being a haven for these girls, but many of them are underage and need to be in school.  Hum? I do have a degree in education, and several empty window sills that could  be turned into classrooms, a kitchen and a recreation room..maybe I could start a homeschool or private school of sorts?

Yes, the Orchid Rehabilitation Center.  I'll need funding..and certification. I may need to go back to school for a degree in orchid psychology. This could happen.

Von Bloom and Flowerettes arrive

ORCHID CHRONICLES:
New Residents....Meet the rehabbing party girls!
The white, aristocratic girls are the Von Bloom sisters, daughters of Baron and Baroness Von Bloom. They have been partying for years on their grandfather's trust account he left them (while their parents travelled to greenhouses around the world). The trust funds and their partying days are over.

The gaudy yellow pink girls are ex-Las Vegas showgirls: Trixie and the Flowerettes.
These girls are lucky if they can get work anywhere...their partying reputation preceeds them.  So far they have been cleaned up, repotted...currently going through the 7 step program for rehabbing flora.  They will get good care at the Orchid  rehab center for wayward orchids.
