Reading tea leaves

Orchid Chronicles:

 

With all the attention recently focused on the awakening ones, Orchita was feeling a bit neglected. In fact, she had a downright snit fit. " Director," she said sternly to get my attention, "Chartreuse and I are spending all this time on party planning, so why are you taking so many pictures of the awakening ones?"

 

She was right, I have not taken many pictures of her lately. What to do? I was drinking a cup of tea at the time, but said to Orchita perhaps to distract her a bit,"Orchita, would you do me a favor? I have some tea leaves in the bottom of my tea cup, and I understand that you read tea leaves. If this is true, I would like you to do a tea leaf reading for me at your convenience."

 

Somewhat startled, yet enthralled with the idea of practicing tea leaf reading outwardly, she agreed quickly to give me a reading. Orchita gazed deeply into my teacup staring at the tea leaves then said, " You have had many challenges in the past. You have many challenges still facing you. But you are trying o stay focused on daily matters, rather than problems ahead.

 

BTW, Director, you have many people around you who think you are quite OK."

 

Orchita looked at me, winked, and also said, "They think you are a bit crazy."

 I started laughing. Staff members listening in started chuckling. The orchid ladies (even some of the awakening ones) were laughing very hard as well. We were having a howling great time.

 And I , you know what? I think Orchita was spot on!! LMAO
