Orchid Chronicles:
The shivering orchid that I rescued and brought to the center, is adapting nicely with the other orchids… Too nicely in fact. The way she is maneuvering herself around the center and making friends with the residents and staff, I wonder why she wanted to be here at the center?
She seems to be well educated, has a steady floral cash supply, and communication skills needed for survival in the real world of greenhouses. I don't know much about her background, but she acts like she's hiding out here at the center.… Blending in, anonymity is the name of the game. Oh no, what if she's another governmental spy?(" I can arrange for black market diamonds or little bags of plutonium, which would you prefer? ") What tricks is this orchid up to?
This new orchid has a name: Chartreuse Margarita. The other orchids have nicknamed her "Char", because chartreuse is a hard word to describe in floral tongue. She is a beautiful, sturdy upright plant with MANY new buds, and blooms of lovely transparent lemon-lime color. She also wears orange lipstick all the time. Char is well groomed, carries herself well, and gets along with others. She's quite out of place in our center of abandoned, attention deficit, neglected, sleepy orchid misfits. I will continue my investigations of this lovely lady...What is she hiding?
