Orchid Chronicles:
What could be more harmless than a small mandarin orange left over from a Christmas stocking, and a stack of small Dixie cups sitting on the Center's kitchen counter? Normally, not a single thing would have been wrong with this picture. However with two gifted orchid tricksters as residents of the Center, something was bound to happen. And it did.
The orchid ladies must have been restless last night, because they figured out how to turn the mandarin orange and the Dixie cups into a rousing game of bowling. The mandarin orange was the bowling ball. The Dixie cups were the bowling pins. They woke me up last night to the sound of crashing Dixie cups and Orchita throwing the mandarin orange for a strike.
The ladies didn't make much of a mess, and they were having fun. But honestly ladies, bowling at 2:00 AM in the morning is not OK. Lights out. If you want to bowl again, do it during daytime hours and make sure you check with the director first. Who knows, maybe then the director might even roll the mandarin orange for a strike or two as well.
