Orchid elbow room is threatened based on a conversation with the Plum Clan:
"Director Mamm, if you please, the center's
really full of leaves!!
The shelves are full of garden dwellers,
they belong outside in cellars!
They do not fit with plants like us
They take much light, and air and fuss."
My response:
"Orchids hear me loud and clear,
there's plenty room inside of here,
For all green plants of different life,
they need protection from outside strife.
You will allow them room to roam
So be respectful and do not moan."
Response from the Plum clan:
"We didn't mean to appear so mean,
We apologize to the others green.
We'll do our best to get along
So how about we sing a song?"
My response:

And they did all sing a song...badly, not in tune and in different Floral tongue, but indeed they did sing together. Tensions were diffused, the outside plants have a temporary home, and the orchids are learning that they are not the only green plants in the world. A great green day at the center...for now.
