Since the Lilac ladies arrived, there has been a constant tension between the girls regarding who gets what pot to reside in. Most of the "chatter" is coming from the Freckles clan who are a bit put back by all the media
attention the Lilac ladies are getting. "How come the Lilac ladies get the new fancy orchid pot, we were here first? When do we get repotted?" I told them the Lilac ladies had too much moss in their shipping container keeping them too moist...They needed a pot with a fine orchid soil so they would not get root rot. When I mentioned root rot, all the orchids shuttered and then nodded in agreement that it was a wise thing to do for the Lilac ladies. I also reminded the Freckles clan that they would be repotted when they went into sleep mode. They understood what this meant and gave up on the complaining. I did though bring in a hand thrown pot just to set them in for now. It's not and "orchid pot'' , but it's different and this made the Freckles clan happy. Just
another day of solving persistent potting problems for problematic plants.
