Sweet "Tarts"

Apparently The Sweethearts overstepped their "newbie status" by offering some suggestions for the Awakening Party, because I heard Orchita call the newcomers "Sweet Tarts" instead of Sweethearts. I put an end to this real quick, and reminded Orchita to give the newcomers a break… Listen to their ideas… It will help them feel welcome if they are included in the plans. 

 

" All Ideas, are Good Ideas here At The Center," I reminded Orchita. 

"But Director, they want to throw colored powder on the new awakening ones, and I know that would mess up the carpet," Orchita insisted. 

 

Orchita had just smacked me between the eyes with reality. To recover from this faux pas, I said, " You're absolutely right Orchita, and that is why I put her with you and Chartreuse. You know what is right. You know the rules. Temper her by listening to her, but remind her of the rules, and make decisions from there."

 

Orchita gave me a look of empowerment (as much as an orchid can show empowerment), winked, and said to me, "Director, How about a free reading of your tea leaves tomorrow?" 

 

I Like Orchita, she's not afraid to negotiate.
