ORCHID CHRONICLES: Last night I witnessed something that took my breath away. The
Old Gray Goose was looking out the window, gazing at the setting sun. She had her eyes closed as if in a trance.I could barely hear her whispers, but she was in a meloncholy state and thinking of younger days...of playing in the greenhouse in the long humid days with the other orchids. She was telling her secrets to the setting sun, as if a long lost friend,or perhaps a lover. She whispered a few more quiet words and then, I actually believe the sun, her long ago remembered friend, must have answered her in words no one wil understand. And I saw The Ole Grey Goose blush.
I witnessed this moment of innocence and longings vs age and regrets...and a tear fell from my eye.
